  Project Introduction:A certain iron concentrate selection plant in Shanxi previously used a combination of traditional jaw crushers and cone crushers in the crushing stage of mineral processing. However, this method resulted in uneven particle size of iron concentrate products, excessive fine powder, and a large amount of powder generated during the crushing process affected the subsequent magnetic separation and flotation effects, leading to a low iron recovery rate, while the equipment suffered severe wear and high maintenance costs.
After comprehensive evaluation, the Shengshi Wuhuan High Pressure Roller Mill was introduced. This high pressure roller mill can accept feed particle sizes up to -300mm, and after lamination crushing by the high pressure rollers, the proportion of output particle size below -10mm reaches 85%, with a processing capacity of 200 tons per hour. Its unique roller surface design and hydraulic system effectively ensure the stability of the crushing effect.
After use, the particle size distribution of the iron concentrate became more reasonable, and the amount of fine powder was reduced by 30%. In the subsequent mineral processing process, the iron recovery rate increased by 10%, and the concentrate grade improved by 2%. At the same time, due to the excellent wear resistance of the high pressure roller mill, the maintenance cycle of the equipment was extended by 50%, reducing overall production costs and bringing significant economic benefits to the mine.
