Project Introduction:A tower milling regrinding and re-selection project for an iron concentrate processing enterprise in Qian'an, Hebei. The project is located in Jianchangying Town, Qian'an City. The project requires processing the low-grade vanadium-titanium magnetite from the Wucheng area, with the rough concentrate after one grinding (grade TFe 50%, fineness -200 mesh accounting for 50%), into iron concentrate with an iron grade of TFe 62-65% for sale through a ball mill + tower mill. The project uses the WTM-850 tower mill, with a cyclone pre-classification + inspection classification closed-circuit process, achieving a qualified fineness of -325 mesh accounting for 85-90%, and a tower mill processing capacity of 75t/h.
A certain iron concentrate selection plant in Shanxi previously used traditional ball mills for pre-selection work, often encountering large material particle sizes and heavy equipment wear, leading to high costs. After repeated discussions and selections, they ultimately chose the WIM-1120 tower mill from Shengshi Wuhuan. Although there were some concerns about the wear of the tower mill, Shengshi Wuhuan's tower mill uses special wear-resistant linings, has low wear, and features a uniquely optimized design structure that is compact and efficient. Compared to ordinary ball mills, it increases the contact area of the grinding media, enhances the grinding effect, and significantly reduces energy consumption. This ultimately achieves the goal of efficient production processes and basic cost control.
